How can I get help?
Email info@gpsoft.hu with the app version, device model, operating-system version, a short description of the problem and steps to reproduce it. A screenshot may help, but hide personal information, private messages and precise locations first. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes.
I cannot sign in. What should I do?
Check your connection and the email address you entered. A newly created account may need email confirmation. For a forgotten password, use “Forgot password” on the sign-in screen; also check your spam folder for the email. Contact support if the problem continues.
My chat is not updating, or a notification opens incorrectly.
Check your connection, then reopen the conversation. Check that notifications for the app are enabled in your device settings. When reporting a notification issue, tell us whether the app was open, in the background or closed before the tap. Do not include message contents unless they are necessary to explain the problem.
When does the app use location?
The Map can use location access to display your own position. Location sharing with friends is request-driven: an ordinary refresh requests one current fix, while selecting a friend on the map can start temporary live sharing. This is not permanent, always-on background tracking. Leaving the focused map stops that request, and an expiry prevents it from running indefinitely. General refresh requests from Friends/Map have a five-minute cooldown per friend.
Why is a friend's location not updating?
Updates depend on the other device's permissions, connection and operating-system behavior. Check the displayed timestamp: the map can show an earlier location. On iPhone, answering a request in the background requires “Always” location authorization; Background App Refresh and Low Power Mode can also affect operation. Apple does not guarantee silent background wakeups, particularly after the app has been force-quit. Reopen the app in that situation. Android may require background location permission and a system notification for the temporary location service. Location sharing is not an emergency service or a guaranteed tracking service.
Can I use chat without location permission?
Yes. Setup requests location and notification permissions separately. Denying these optional permissions does not prevent using chats. You can change permissions later in your device settings; the app rechecks them when you return. Background location requests cannot work reliably without background location access.
How can I save a shared photo?
Open the photo from the chat and use the image viewer's save option. Your device may ask for permission to save photos. Save or redistribute only images you have permission to use.
What is The Backroom?
It is an optional simulated-gambling easter egg. Send a standalone 🎰 or 777 message, wait until it is confirmed sent, then hold the message continuously for five seconds. There are three games: Lucky 777, the original gem-themed Gem Strike, and blackjack. Gem Strike is not Pragmatic Play's Diamond Strike.
Is any real money or prize involved?
No. The starting $10,000 is entirely fictional play money. Holding the balance adds another $1,000 for free. There are no purchases, deposits, transfers, cashouts, prizes or real-money winnings. Play money cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred to another user. Sound and haptic feedback can be disabled independently. The wallet is saved locally for your account on that device; its balance does not synchronize between devices.
